Where should out of town guests stay?

For your convenience, we've reserved a wedding block at the Sheraton Madison, located at 706 John Nolen Drive, and the Fairfield Inn, located at 722 John Nolen Drive. These modern hotels offer a comfortable stay with stunning views of Lake Monona, and it's just a short distance from the ceremony venue. Plus, there's a shuttle service that will take you directly to the ceremony, so you can relax and enjoy the day. For those who would prefer a different option, there are many hotels and AirBnbs within an easy drive to the venue and downtown Madison.

What are travel options for out of town guests?

We’re so excited to have guests traveling to Madison for our wedding! There are a few convenient airports nearby to choose from: Dane County Regional Airport (MSN) is the closest, but O'Hare International Airport (ORD) and General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) are also options.

For those flying into Dane County, Uber and other ride services are readily available. If you're flying into ORD or MKE, there’s direct bus services to Madison for a smooth and easy trip. Rental car agencies surrounding these airports commonly rent cars for this distance and situation.

What’s the wedding day itinerary?

Guests are welcome to begin arriving at 2:30 PM CT to find their seats, take pictures, and settle in. The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 PM CT, so please plan to arrive with enough time to get comfortable. After the ceremony, we’ll kick off cocktail hour at 5:00 PM CT with drinks, appetizers, and plenty of celebration to follow.

What should I expect during the rehearsal picnic?

The rehearsal picnic is not a “practice run” of the ceremony - it is a welcome event for our guests to hangout, grab some tasty food, and get introduced to the area. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

What is the dress code for the rehearsal picnic and wedding?

For the rehearsal picnic, feel free to dress in summer casual attire - think relaxed and comfortable, perfect for a laid-back afternoon of fun. For the wedding, we ask that guests wear summer formal attire - light and elegant, but still dressy enough for the occasion. You’re welcome to wear Western formal or Indian formal attire.

Are plus ones and children allowed?

Plus ones and children invitations are specifically noted on your Save the Date and Wedding Invitation. If you haven't received an invitation that includes them, we kindly ask that additional guests not be added to accommodate space restrictions. We appreciate your understanding!

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

We plan on having an entree and side choice that's vegetarian, gluten-free, and nut-free to accommodate guests with dietary restrictions. Our entrees and cocktail hour appetizers will be clearly marked if there are any allergy concerns.

If you have additional restrictions, please let us know in the your RSVP.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be outdoors, weather permitting. The cocktail hour will be held both indoors and outdoors, so you can choose where you'd like to enjoy the drinks and mingling. Dinner and the reception will be indoors, where we’ll continue the celebration. Since the ceremony will be outside, please plan your attire accordingly - you may have to walk across grass!

What is the easiest way to get to and from the wedding venue?

The easiest way to get to and from the wedding venue is by taking the free shuttle from the Sheraton Hotel and Fairfield Inn on John Nolen Drive, where we’ve reserved a hotel block. We highly recommend using the shuttle for convenience. If you can’t make it to the shuttle, don’t worry - there’s plenty of parking available at the venue, and you can also find Ubers and Lyfts easily in Madison and surrounding areas.

Could you suggest places to eat, drink and see while I'm in town for your wedding?

Definitely! Madison is a lively, one-of-a-kind city surrounded by four beautiful lakes, which means stunning views and plenty of opportunities to explore. Whether you’re into kayaking, strolling downtown, checking out local breweries, or grabbing a bite at a farm-to-table spot, there’s so much to enjoy.

Will you be live streaming your wedding ceremony?
