Our Story
Abby’s Story
I grew up on a horse farm in rural Illinois, surrounded by open fields, muddy boots, and animals that taught me responsibility, patience, and love. I moved to UW-Madison to begin my education career, where I met Dan, a charismatic, thoughtful guy from just outside New York City. We connected almost immediately. What started as friendship quickly became more, and somehow, amidst the chaos of college, growing up, and figuring life out, we built something so steady and real.
Now years later, we share a home full of love, laughter, a few too many pets, and the same excitement we felt when we were 18. I feel incredibly lucky to be marrying my best friend, love, and life partner.

Our Relationship
We met as freshmen at UW–Madison, as two young people from very different places - me from a horse ranch in rural Illinois, and Dan from the suburbs of New York. What started as a friendship quickly became the foundation of a love built on trust, laughter, and shared dreams. We’re partners in every sense: best friends who explore the outdoors together, care for our animals, and find joy in the everyday moments. Our love feels like home, a place where we’ve grown together through every chapter. We’re lucky to have grown up together and even luckier to still be growing together.
